My dear sweet Oden says the most lovely things to his Mama (ME!!)… This morning he was cuddling me and telling me that “you a pretty girl.” He’s only 2.5 years old and a charmer already!! Just like his Daddy, oh are the ladies going to love him!
He’s also still eating and sleeping well.
He’s getting a little picky about the veggies we put on his plate, but he will usually still take a few bites of broccoli/peas/etc along w/ his meat and carbs, so we certainly can’t complain. But it was def nice when he would eat whatever we put in front of him. Oh, and he still devours tomatos, so that more than makes up for it!!
He’s not so keen about drinking his milk 3 x’s a day anymore. Up until recently we were doing 4-5 oz in morning, noon, and nite. Now I’m lucky if he’ll cuddle w/ me and drink 1 of those!! So I am trying to keep up the calcium intake w/ cheese and yogurt. So he’s not totally being deprived of his daily dairy requirement.
He’s still sleeping 10 hrs through the nite (most nites) and 2-3 hrs during the day. His schedule is approximately: 9pm bedtime, 7am wake up, naptime 5hrs after wake up so around 12 or 1pm. It works well for our schedule. So we have some down time after he goes to bed at nite and a little in the morning before he wakes up. And of course I get the much needed break during the day. I certainly can’t complain and I know a lot of moms who would give anything for this type of schedule!
His big boy bed is still working out. Not as easy as the crib but good overall. Only a couple times has he been caught up and playing. But I just keep reminding him that bedtime means he has to stay in his big boy bed. If we hit the right window of sleep time, he is asleep w/in 30mins, but if not, then it’s more like an hr of him blabbing (and sometimes calling for us) before he crashes out.
I sure do love my boy and seeing him grow into a “big boy”

My son is on a very similar schedule, but oh what I would give if my son gave vegetables the same attention your son does!! : ) Keep it up momma, looks like you are doing a great job!!
Cheers!
